About this ray
This ray was caught in Andros, Bahamas, and is the beautiful animal in the imagery featured.
About this Adoption
This ray is male, measures a total disc width of ~60 cm, and was fitted with a PIT tag; this type of tag does not transmit signals, but is scanned by researchers during a recapture, just like the tags used in pets. We’ll only get further information on this ray if we or other scientists catch it again. In exchange for this adoption donation, you will have the privilege of naming him, you will receive an adoption certificate, and if we or others recapture your ray, we will excitedly be in touch with an update!
General Information
Southern stingrays are curious yet often extremely shy animals. If you would like to adopt and support a ray often overlooked and rarely tagged, please support our new project and adopt a southern stingray today! On adoption we’ll provide rough information on your rays capture location, however we will not be able to share exact data or location points.
** Your adoption certificate will be sent as a PDF to your email address **
